The short version. Everything you enter into GPA Calculator is stored on your phone and is never sent to us. There is no account and no login. The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. The only data that leaves your device is what Google Play and our payments provider, RevenueCat, need to show prices and to check whether you have Pro: an anonymous identifier and your purchase details, never what you enter.
GPA Calculator is published by Scanly Studio. If you have a question about anything on this page, write to scanlystudio.support@proton.me and a person will answer.
The app keeps everything you enter on your device, in the app’s own storage:
When you export JSON, CSV or a PDF report, the app hands the file to the Android share sheet and you choose where it goes. When you import, you pick the file yourself; the app reads only that file. The app does not ask for any permission such as camera, contacts, location or storage access.
None of this is sent to us. There is no account and no server of ours; nothing is collected and nothing passes through a server of ours, because we do not have one.
One service is involved: the one that sells and checks Pro.
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We use RevenueCat to load the prices shown on the plan screen and to check whether a purchase is valid and still active. The app contacts RevenueCat when it starts and when you buy or tap “Restore”. For that, RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated for your installation, the store's transaction details for what you bought, and basic device and country information supplied by the store. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything else listed above. RevenueCat acts as our processor. Their own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
GPA Calculator is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Because your entries never leave your phone, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Deleting the app removes them. Purchase records held by RevenueCat and Google are retained under their own policies and for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information held about you, and to object to certain processing. In practice we hold almost nothing: your history is on your device only, and the purchase record is keyed to an anonymous identifier. If you want to exercise a right, or want the purchase record associated with your installation deleted, write to scanlystudio.support@proton.me and we will act on it. To manage or cancel a subscription itself, see the support page.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be flagged in the app.
