GPA Calculator, by Scanly Studio

Email scanlystudio.support@proton.me and a person will answer. Please say which phone you are on and what you were doing when it went wrong. It usually saves a round trip.

Managing or cancelling your subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Google Play, not by us, so they are cancelled there rather than in the app: Google Play → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → GPA Calculator → Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the period you have already paid for runs out.

If you bought the lifetime option, there is nothing to cancel: it is a one-time purchase and it does not renew.

I paid but the app still asks me to

Tap Restore on the plan screen or in Settings. That asks Google Play for purchases made with the Google account currently signed in on the device, so if you bought it on a different account, switch to that one first. If Restore still finds nothing, email us with the receipt the store sent you and we will sort it out.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play. Request one under Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history, or at Google Play Help. We cannot issue a refund on the store's behalf, but tell us what went wrong anyway: it is how the app gets better.

Grading scale, A+ and repeated courses

Pick your scale in Settings → Grading scale. Switching scales converts your target and any "earlier semesters" total proportionally; course grades the new scale cannot read are flagged before you confirm. The same screen sets what an A+ is worth, how repeated courses count (replace, average, or all attempts), and how many decimals the GPA shows.

Pass/fail courses

Turn on Pass/fail under Advanced when you add or edit a course. A passed course counts toward your credits but not toward your GPA.

The numbers

Tap Show calculation to see every step: grade points times credits, summed and divided by GPA credits. Schools differ in rounding and in which courses count, so check your official transcript where it matters. If a figure looks wrong, email us the scale and the courses.

Moving to a new phone

Your semesters and courses live only on the phone you entered them on. There is no account or cloud copy on our side. To move them, use Settings → Export as JSON, send the file to the new phone, and open it there with Import from file. A Pro purchase moves with your store account: tap Restore on the new phone.

Deleting your data

Your entries are stored on your phone and nowhere else, so deleting the app deletes them. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
